It was distilled in an Alambic Charentais (pot still).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c!-- po:marketing:start --\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eVery fruity, intense and layered, and like the 1994 it tastes clearly older than its 34 years. Laurent Lhéraud, who runs the house today, distilled it in December 1990. At 48% it is one of the strongest of our 15 vintages. For anyone who wants a lot of cognac for its age, ideally next to the 1994 Petite Champagne.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTwo years ago Lhéraud filled small sample bottles of all 35 vintages in its cellar for Nicolas Kröger and me. After a three-hour session in Vienna and many more rounds at home, we picked our 15 favourites, and Lhéraud bottled 12 of each in 20 cl as a limited edition exclusive to Armagnac.de.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLhéraud normally bottles its vintages only in the house's black, mouth-blown bottle. At 20 cl it is much easier to open an old vintage, taste two or three side by side or give someone their birth year. Each bottle comes in a black gift box with Lhéraud, the cru and “Sélection 2026” embossed in gold and the vintage in blue handwriting.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBottled at cask strength, with no additives and without chill filtration.
