Dieser Armagnac wurde 1976 von Château Garreau aus Baco und Ugni Blanc Trauben in Bas Armagnac, Frankreich hergestellt.

Er reifte für 48 Jahre in einem erst feuchten, dann trockenen Lagerhaus und wurde 2026 (01/2026) in Fassstärke mit 50,1% abgefüllt. Die Abfüllung stammt aus Fass Nr. B26. Für die Destillation wurde eine Alambic Armagnacais (Column Still) verwendet.

Château Garreau

Château Garreau liegt in Labastide d'Armagnac, mitten im Bas Armagnac. Seit 1919 und vier Generationen destilliert die Familie hier auf dem Terroir der Sables Fauves, heute unter der Leitung von Carole Garreau. Gebrannt wird auf dem hauseigenen Sier-Alambic von 1919, gereift in drei Kellern. 1974 wurde am Château übrigens der Floc de Gascogne kreiert.
