Rum Sponge #22 Uitvlught 25 Years Old 70cl

Dieser Rum wurde 1998 von der Uitvlugt Destillerie aus Melasse in Guyana hergestellt.

Er reifte für 25 Jahre in einem Eichenfass und wurde 2023 für Rum Sponge in minimal verdünnter Trinkstärke mit 60.0% abgefüllt. Für die Destillation wurde eine Pot Still (Port Mourant) verwendet.

Sponge schreibt zu diesem Rum: "Behold Rum Sponge Edition No.22! A single refill barrel of 1998 Uitvlugt from Guyana, bottled at 25 years of age and featuring about 1.5 degrees of reduction down to our preferred bottling strength of 60%. This cask spent about two years in Guyana before being banished to the dis-United Kingdom.

This is a large and chunky rum! Embrace it and yield to the feeling of being placed in a protective head lock by a gym-hewn anthropomorphic pickle with intimidating arm tattoos.

Experience with hushed awe such flavours as drinking cask-aged seawater, being miniaturised and inserted into the event horizon of a black olive, being shot with a grapefruit and sipping bandage distillate in the tropical evening sun."
