Lasdoux Whisky Amburana Edition 2024 50cl

Dieser französische Whisky wurde von Maison Lheraud aus gemälzter Gerste in Cognac, Frankreich hergestellt.

Er reifte in einem speziellen Fass aus Amburana-Eiche und wurde 2024 unter der Marke Lasdoux in Fassstärke mit 49,7% abgefüllt. Für die Destillation wurde eine Pot Still verwendet.

Amburana ist ein tropisches Hartholz, das schwer zu bearbeiten ist und auch als „brasilianische Eiche“ bekannt ist. Es wird in Südamerika oft für die Herstellung von Luxusmöbeln, aber auch für die Reifung von Cachaça, dem brasilianischen Nationalgetränk aus Zuckerrohr verwendet.

In Frankreich ist Maison Lheraud laut Laurent Lheraud die erste Distillerie, welche ein Fass aus Amburana-Eiche für die Reifung von Whisky verwendet.
