Dieser Cognac wurde 1985 von der Pierre Guedon aus Ugni Blanc Trauben in Petite Champagne, Frankreich hergestellt.

Er reifte für 40 Jahre in Fass 224 und wurde 2025 in Fassstärke mit 50,36% aus dem Fasskeller von Jean-Luc Pasquet abgefüllt. Für die Destillation wurde eine Pot Still verwendet.

Robert Bauer schreibt zum JLP Lot 85: "In a world full of hatred and wrath, kindness shines like a lighthouse in a stormy ocean. Just as symbolic as the incredible and widely known kindness and hospitality of the Pasquet family, this cognac from the Jean-Luc Pasquet domaine also glows with warmth and passion.

Christmas spices such as cinnamon, bergamot, and nutmeg sprinkled over a freshly baked apple and pear cake delight the nose and create a cosy winter atmosphere. A hint of tangy quince jelly and a touch of strawberry essence fill the air with freshness and delicacy.

The first sip pleasures the palate with a complex fruit stew of apricots, apples, and pears, carried by a super-silky texture that makes it incredibly inviting. Sweetness and dryness coexist in perfect harmony, resonating beautifully. And just as one wishes that a visit to the family’s barrel cellar would never end, so too does the fruity-fresh finish linger on the tongue.
