Dieser Armagnac wurde von Laterrade aus Baco, Colombard, Folle Blanche Trauben in Bas Armagnac, Frankreich hergestellt.

Er reifte für mindestens 2 Jahre im Fass und wurde mit 40% abgefüllt. Für die Destillation wurde eine Alambic Armagnacais (Column Still) verwendet.

Laterrade

SAS Laterrade sitzt in Mauvezin d'Armagnac, mitten im Bas-Armagnac. Vincent Laterrade, gelernter Sommelier, sammelt seit über 25 Jahren Armagnac und hat sich einen Namen als Schatzsucher gemacht: Er spürt schlummernde Fassbestände einzelner, namentlich benannter Domaines auf. So kam eine Sammlung von über 90 Jahrgängen zusammen, die bis 1904 zurückreicht und seit 1959 lückenlos ist, jeder Jahrgang in Fassstärke und ohne Verschnitt verschiedener Jahre. Auf zwölf Hektar eigenen Reben zieht die Familie seit 2017 biologisch die Armagnacs von morgen heran. Gebrannt wird auf niedrigem Grad, gereift in Eiche der Küferei Bartholomo, bewusst ohne zu viel Holz, damit Feinheit und Eleganz bleiben. Die Jahrgänge kommen naturbelassen ins Glas: keine Kühlfiltration, keine Farbe, keine Zuckerung. Den Vertrieb führt seine Partnerin Paulina, die aus dem Bordelaiser Weinhandel kommt, deren Tochter Alexandra wächst gerade hinein.
