Dieser Armagnac wurde 1976 von Domaine de la Poste aus Ugni Blanc Trauben in Armagnac Ténarèze, Frankreich hergestellt.

Er reifte für 48 Jahre in einem trockenen Lagerhaus und wurde 2026 in Fassstärke mit 47,4% abgefüllt. Die Abfüllung stammt aus Fass Nr. 157. Für die Destillation wurde eine Alambic Armagnacais (Column Still) verwendet.

Georges Faget kaufte 1968 die Domaine de la Poste bei Condom, einen alten Pferdewechsel-Hof aus dem 18. Jahrhundert. Ab 1972 brannte dort jeden November der Wanderbrenner Casimir Michalouski. Verkauft hat Georges Faget seine Armagnacs nie, seine Tochter Hélène öffnet die Fässer heute für Le Passeur.

Le Passeur

Le Passeur ist ein neuer unabhängiger Abfüller, direkt aus der Armagnac Region. Dort gibt es zahlreiche Familien, die nur ab und an Armagnac herstellen und ihren Fokus auf normale Landwirtschaft setzen. Durch die kleinen Mengen, findet man diese Armagnac nur selten außerhalb der jeweiligen Nachbarschaft. Romain Duteuil sucht vor allem bei diesen kleinen Produzenten nach herausragenden Fässer. Den Anfang machen Saint Martin, Lascabanes und Château Pomès-Pébérère.
