Dieser Armagnac wurde 1963 von Château de Gaube aus Baco Trauben in Bas Armagnac, Frankreich hergestellt.

Er reifte für 58 Jahre in einem Eichenfass und wurde 2023 für Armagnac Sponge in Fassstärke mit 46.3% abgefüllt. Für die Destillation wurde eine Alambic Armagnacais (Column Still) verwendet.

Sponge schreibt zu diesem Armagnac: "The latest bottling in our Notable Age Statements series is a single cask 1963 Armagnac from Chateau de Gaube, aged for 58 years and bottled at natural cask strength.

Extremely classical in style, it leans more heavily towards a rustic and earthy Armagnac profile dominated by dark fruits, layers of earth, tobaccos and chocolate, and many wonderful honeyed and fruity complexities.

A glorious aged spirit that is the epitome of class, pleasure and decadence in a glass!"
