Wu Dram Clan Aurian 1986 #33 70cl (11/2022)

This Armagnac was made in 1986 by an unknown domain from 80% Baco and 20% Ugni Blanc grapes in Bas Armagnac, France.

Aged in cask 33 in a humid warehouse for 35 years and bottled in 2022 (11/2022) by Maison Aurian for Wu Dram Clan at cask strength 50.80% . An Alambic Armagnacais (Column Still) was used for the distillation.

Wu Dram Clan writes about the Aurian 1986 #33:
"In July 2022 we were able to taste our way through the deep cellars of the Aurian house in CONDOM and came across barrel no. 33, a Bas-Armagnac from 1986 with a strong 50.8 vol% from the small but well-known town of Le Frêche. This region Brings is characterized by a deep bouquet and a wonderful body as a whole, rich red berries and a balanced power between wood and distillate.

Tasting Note:
A pronounced acetone note stands out on the nose, which slowly weakens and thus leaves the necessary space for red berries, honey, black pepper and cocoa to unfold.
In the mouth, the compact power of Gascon comes into play, acetone becomes rancio, wood, dried apricots, wild pepper, ginger, tobacco and sandalwood.
The finish is long and pronounced."
