Dieser Armagnac wurde 2000 von Maison Fontan aus Ugni Blanc Trauben in Bas Armagnac, Frankreich hergestellt.

Er reifte für 23 Jahre im Fass und wurde mit 49% abgefüllt. Für die Destillation wurde eine Alambic Armagnacais (Column Still) verwendet.

Die Collection 2000 ist Fontans Horizontale: ein Jahrgang, drei Abfüllungen. Alle drei stammen aus der Ernte 2000 und reiften 23 Jahre in Gascogne-Eiche, sie unterscheiden sich in Fass und Reduktion.

Der Millésime ist die mittlere Stärke, abgefüllt mit 49 %. Frische Nase mit Orange, Mandarine und rohem Holz, am Gaumen viel Vanille und Crème brûlée.

Maison Fontan

Die Familie Fontan bewirtschaftet die Ferme de Maubet in Noulens seit 1907, heute führen die Geschwister Sylvain und Nadège Fontan den Betrieb nahe Eauze. Armagnac ist nur rund ein Zehntel der Produktion: 100 % Ugni Blanc aus dem Alambic Armagnacais, gereift in Fässern aus schwarzer Gascogne-Eiche der Tonnellerie Bartholomo.
