Dieser Rum wurde 2000 von Long Pond aus Melasse in Jamaica, Jamaica hergestellt.

Er reifte für 22 Jahre in einem Eichenfass und wurde 2023 für Rum Sponge in Trinkstärke mit 49.6% abgefüllt. Für die Destillation wurde eine Pot Still verwendet.

Sponge schreibt zu diesem Rum: "Edition No.21a of Rum Sponge is single barrel of 2000 Long Pond (mark JMLW), bottled at natural cask strength after 22 years of full-term continental ageing.

This is sharp, pure, coastal and robustly medicinal rum that showcases all that wonderful Jamaican distillate character in full.
