Dieser Whisky wurde 2016 von der Celtic Whisky Destillerie (Kornog) aus gemälzter Gerste in Frankreich hergestellt.

Er reifte für 7 Jahre in einem Eichenfass und wurde 2023 für Swell de Spirits in Fassstärke mit 52.70% abgefüllt. Für die Destillation wurde eine Pot Still verwendet.

Tasting Notes von Swell des Spirits

“Enjoy a Chinese lunch on the steaming Hong Kong ferry, featuring shrimp chips, vegetable spring rolls dipped in soy sauce, and pork in black bean sauce with noodles, washed down with coconut tea. jasmine."

Color: Pinot Grigio

Nose: Sweet peat, light sage smoke, raspberries, blueberries, lemon meringue tart, plum tart, lime marmalade, pork in black bean sauce, Chinese spices, duck spring rolls and of vegetables in soy sauce and printing paper.

Taste: Much smokier than the nose suggests, it is tarry with motor oil, sweet peat, Chinese five spices, duck with hoisin sauce, bean sprout noodles, baguettes in bamboo, sea breeze and rye.

Finish: Tar, rye and slightly sweet engine smoke with hints of daiquiri.

Nose with water: Hot oil steaming in a copper pan, motor oil, tar, ropes, old magazines, paper newspapers, rubber-heeled shoes, shrimp chips, sweet chili sauce, Chinese cabbage oyster sauce and chicken with pandan leaves dipped in hoisin sauce.

Mouth with water: Smoking engine, tar, oak table, black tea with Chinese jasmine, duck pancake with plum sauce, Chinese spices, sea bass (fish), plus cardamom, cloves and star anise.

Finish with water: The spices continue and soften, oil smoking in a wok...
