Shane & Nimrod present the art of micro distilling. Experienced small batch distillers can create magic that larger scale commercial distillers never will. There are enormous limitations in commercial distilling, often driven by market forces, compliance with specific styles and geographical indicators, and the simple feasibility due to the rarity or cost of raw goods and the requirements of scale. Micro batches allow distillers to explore unusual raw materials, extra-long fermentations and yeast variants, alternative aging methods and unusual cask types, and strange ingredient mashups that break all of the categories.
