Dieser Whisky wurde 2010 von der "Secret Sutherland Destillerie" aus gemälzter Gerste in Schottland hergestellt.

Er reifte für 13 Jahre in einem Eichenfass und wurde 2023 für Swell de Spirits in Fassstärke mit 53.30% abgefüllt. Für die Destillation wurde eine Pot Still verwendet.

“Visit the candlelit apothecary, with its jars of aromatic herbs, spices and dried lemons, ready to be crushed on the beaten oak refectory table and added to the hot chocolate simmering on the stove to warm up. »

Color: Sauvignon Blanc

Nose: Candle wax, orange sorbet, lemon sorbet, lemon barley water, barley sugar, Brazil nuts, hazelnuts coated with milk chocolate, pistachios, lamb's wool, a trio of biscuits - buttered raisin, oats, plus iced coffee and snapdragons.

Taste: Waxy mouthfeel, orange sorbet, lemon sorbet, oak table, chilli, paprika, white pepper, cloves, star anise, nutmeg and spicy hot chocolate.

Finale: Butter cookies and lemon cream.

Nose with water: The spices are still present but much softer and mixed in a small cake with candied orange, with beeswax, hazelnuts, walnuts, buttered scones with jam greengage and whipped cream, a banana milkshake, milk chocolate buttons and hairspray.

Mouth with water: Banoffee tart, milk chocolate covered bananas, spicy hot chocolate, strawberry blancmange, lemon tart, lemon and rose Turkish delight, vanilla latte, café au lait with gingerbread, caramel cream, waffles with vanilla ice cream and lavender honey brioche.

Finale with water: Rum and raisin ice cream.

Conclusion: All the qualities of a great Clynelish with the addition of spices and buttered brioche which complement the classic notes of lemon and wax. A Scotch Whiskey of great precision and beautiful complexity.
