L'Encantada Bogosse - Domaine Artigaux 2015
Dieser Armagnac wurde 2015 von Domaine Artigaux aus Colombard und Ugni Blanc Trauben in Bas Armagnac, Frankreich hergestellt.
Er reifte für 7 Jahre in unterschiedlichen Eichenfässern und wurde in Fassstärke mit 57.6% abgefüllt. Für die Destillation wurde eine Alambic Armagnacais (Column Still) verwendet.

On the one hand, you have the members of the “team bogosse”. These are the people who look like they were sculpted by the Greek gods themselves. They have rock-hard abs, dazzling smiles and hair that never moves, even when there’s a tornado. They’re always well-dressed and have a confidence that could fill an entire room.
On the other side, you have the members of the “bolosse team”. These are the people who look like they’ve been struck by lightning several times. They have eyebrows that meet in the middle of the forehead, a bump on the nose and clothes that look like they’ve been picked out at random in the dark. They tend to bump into doors, spill coffee on their shirts and get their fingers caught in subway doors.
Now, I’m not saying that all “team bogosse” members are arrogant idiots and that all “team bolosse” members are misunderstood geniuses. But let’s just say that if you’re looking for someone to be your dance partner at a wedding, you might want to choose someone from “team bogosse”. If you’re looking for someone to have a fun night out with, you might want to check out the “bolosse team”.
Why the lion?
The Gascony lion is a historic symbol of our region.
The lion is shown standing on its hind legs, tail raised, mouth open and tongue hanging out. It has been an emblematic symbol of the region since the Middle Ages.
There is no consensus on the exact origin of the Gascony lion. Some say it’s inspired by the Flanders lion, while others believe it’s derived from Celtic mythology. Another theory is that the lion represents royalty and nobility, as the Dukes of Gascony were once vassals of the French crown.
For the Encantada, it represents strength and courage. It can be wild, aggressive, wise, conquering or resilient.
The Aging
L’Encantada is a Brut de Fût sublimated by 7 years of barrel ageing. A blend of Gascony black oak, then aged in Limousin oak. Pedunculate oak brings depth, while sessile oak brings greed.
This young Armagnac seduces us with its aromatic freshness, its design with a square bottle and a label that offers a double reading.
At last, a different elixir that gives us access to the world of brut de futs!

Tasting Notes
Color : Amber
Nose: Fruity and greedy. Notes of citrus dominate the first nose, before evolving into the second. on gourmand notes reminiscent of a quince jelly tart just out of the oven. Nose attractive, like a fine appetizer.
Palate: Velvety and racy. Initially bursting with candied fruit, it evolves on saline notes. reminiscent of salted butter caramel and fresh butter. In retro-olfaction, pleasant notes of bitter almonds and spices are revealed.
Finish: Long and evolving. A hint of roasting mingles with fresh grape notes and perfectly integrated oak."
